VfB Stuttgart Football

Bet Live on football - Click here for German Bundesliga odds.

While the club is not the most prolific in the silverware department, VfB Stuttgart is one of the most consistent performers in German football. It has won five Bundesliga Championships and has played all but two seasons in the top-flight. Led by new management and a young talented squad, the club has enjoyed a resurgence of form and success since the turn of the century. With an average age of just 25, the 2006/2007 Bundesliga winning team was the youngest ever side to win the title. Football Betting

Manager: Armin Veh

Armin Veh is a former midfielder of average success. He retired from playing in 1990 and took on his first managerial position at FC Augsburg in the same year. In 2006, Veh joined VfB Stuttgart in a temporary capacity, but his performance earned him two contract extensions. He repaid the club's faith in him by winning the 2006/2007 Championship, Stuttgart's first Bundesliga title since 1992.

Stadium: Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadion

Since being built in 1933 the Gottlieb-Daimler-Stadium has undergone a number of transformations including a complete renovation in the early 1990's in preparation for the 1993 World Athletic Championships and the reconstruction of the Eastern stand in 2005. The ground's capacity currently stands at 58,000.

VfB Stuttgart - 2007/2008 Season

As defending champions, VfB Stuttgart should feature strongly in the Bundesliga and are definite contenders to win back to back titles. A lack of significant signings during the break could leave the young team a little weak in places, but overall the side is solid, talented and hungry for the title.
