NFL Super Bowl XL - Betting Preview
NFL Super Bowl XLNFL Super Bowl XL betting has intensified after the post season playoffs kicked off last weekend with the defending Super Bowl champions the New England Patriots staking their claim for a third consecutive Super Bowl championship in Detroit with a comprehensive win over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Foxborough.
New England coach Bill Belichick’s “Brady Bunch” stole the headlines last weekend despite the Washington Redskins taking care of business when they visited Tampa. The Redskins gained only 120 yards on offense, the lowest total in NFL history for a winning team in a postseason game yet still managed to win in their NFC wild-card game 17-10.
The Carolina Panthers chasing their second Super Bowl appearance in three years, shut down the New York Giants 23-0 in their NFC playoff game on Sunday. The Panthers played in Super Bowl two years ago and will now head to Chicago for the divisional playoffs against the Bears as they continue down the path towards Super Bowl XL in Detroit.
The Pittsburgh Steelers kicked off their campaign for Super Bowl XL glory with a regulation 31-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals. It was the fifth straight time they had beaten the Bengals in Cincinnati setting up a rematch with the AFC's top team the Indianapolis Colts.
Suddenly, the Colts are no longer the flavour of the month after their all conquering winning streak came to an end with two consecutive losses and the shock death of coach Tony Dungy’s son. Can the Colts return to their best and win the ultimate prize in Detroit, Super Bowl XL?
