Kosta Tszyu v Ricky Hatton - IBF Light Welterweight bout
Kostya Tszyu the reigning WBC and IBF light welterweight champion has signed up to fight English challenger Ricky Hatton at Manchester's MEN Arena on 5 June.
The fight will start at 4am local time to accommodate the Showtime Network in America that Tszyu is contracted to. The primetime fight will be broadcast in midafternoon for Australian boxing fans.
The long-term goal for 35-year-old Tszyu is a superfight with boxing legend Oscar De La Hoya. Warton said, "If the money is right it can be done. I have spoken briefly to Bob Arum about it and it is a possibility. The money might be right because it is a huge fight."
