Juventus has dominated both Italian and European football for over a hundred years. To date the club has won an unequalled 27 Serie A championships, 9 Coppa Italia and 9 European titles. Until the Serie A match-fixing scandal of 2006 Juventus had never played outside of the top flight of Italian football competition, but the penalty resulted in relegation to the Serie B. The club re-qualified to compete in the Serie A by winning the 2006-2007 season. Juventus contends two of Italy's most competitive derbies; the Derby della Mole (Derby of Torino) against other Turin based club Torino and the Derby d'Italia (Derby of Italy) against archrivals and Serie A superpower Inter Milan. Manager: Claudio Ranieri

Ranieri's managerial career spans over two decades during which he has achieved phenomenal success at the helm of some of Europe's biggest clubs. He made his name guiding Cagliari from Serie C1 to Serie A in successive seasons and went on to win an array of accolades at Valencia, including victory in the Champions League and Copa del Rey in 1997. This was followed by mixed results with Atlético Madrid, Chelsea and Parma, as well as an unsuccessful return to Valencia. He signed a three-year contract with Juventus on 4 June 2007.

Stadium: Stadio Olimpico di Torino & Stadio delle Alpi

Juventus' home ground is the Stadio delle Alpi, but due to renovations the club currently plays its home games at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino. The venue is shared with other local club Torino F.C. Stadio Olimpico di Torino has an official capacity of just over 27,100 and was originally built to host the 1934 FIFA World Cup. Juventus' relegation to Serie B last season, due to match-fixing, has delayed the reconstruction of the Stadio delle Apli and it is unclear when the club will move into its new facility

Juventus - 2007/2008 Season

After winning the Serie B last season, Juventus has bolstered its surviving ranks with a number of new signings including Tiago, Sergio Almiron, Jorge Andrade, Domenico Criscito and Vincenzo Iaquinta. The club will be a force to be reckoned with this season, but despite all his achievements, Ranieri is yet to win the Scudetto and time will tell if the canny coach can lead his team to victory in the Serie A.
