Manager: Arsène Wenger
Arsène Wenger joined Arsenal Football Club in 1996 and has since become the longest serving and most triumphant manager in the club's history. He has led the Gunners to more trophies than anyone else and is also the only foreign manager in English Football to ever lead a side through a season without a loss. Wegner signed a new three-year contract with Arsenal in 2007. Stadium: Emirates Stadium The club moved from Arsenal Stadium in Highbury to its brand new Emirates Stadium facility in 2006, extending seating capacity from under 40,000 to over 60,000. Located on Ashburton Grove in Holloway, the ground is the second largest in the Premiership behind Old Trafford and cost £430 million to build. The added capacity enabled Arsenal to dramatically increase turnover in the 2006-2007 season. Arsenal - 2008/2009 Season Despite getting off to a flyer last season, Arsenal ultimately failed to go the distance: ending the season in third and exiting the Champions League with a defeat to Liverpool. The Gunners are a little older and little wiser this season, but will it be enough? The loss of Matthew Flamini and Alexander Hleb definitely hurt the squad, but the arrival of Samir Nasri at least takes the sting out of losing Hleb. Wenger’s over-reliance on Fabregas and an apparent lack of depth, mean Arsenal will need to explode out of the blocks to stand any chance of finishing in the top four. Perhaps the Cups are where the Gunners will thrive this season.
