i.e. stake of $10 x the odds of 4.75 = $47.50

Live 'In Play'

You can bet on selected events whilst the game is in progress. Watching the game live, and bet on every twist and turn of the game. Live betting usually consists of the following bet types:
  • Head to Head
  • Coupon
  • Line (Handicap)
  • Asian Handicap
  • Over / Under (Totals)
The odds for each team to win are adjusted in play. The odds displayed on the website, are the odds at that particular point in time during the game.
Handicap (Line or Spread)

Each team receives a handicap of plus or minus points to reduce the game to an even competition. A team with a minus handicap must win the event by more than the handicap for your bet to win. A team with a plus handicap can win the game or must not lose the event by more than its handicap for your bet to win. Line handicaps usually contain a ½ point i.e. 4 ½ so that a drawn outcome is not possible.

Line betting can increase the odds of the favourite and can also provide an opportunity to win on the team that loses the game outright.

Example: Rugby Union (Decimal Odds)

Selection Line
France -9.5 1.90
England +9.5 1.90

If you bet $10 on France on the 1.90 line at -9.5 your return will be $19 if France beats England by more than 9.5 points.

i.e. stake of $10 x the odds of 1.90 = $19.00

or

If you bet $10 on England on the 1.90 line at +9.5 your return will be $19 if England win the game or lose the game by less than 9.5 points.

i.e. stake of $10 x the odds of 1.90 = $19.00
Buy Points – American Football & Basketball

Buy Points moves the spread (pointspread) so you give away fewer points with the favourite or get more points with the underdog. This bet type is available for American Football (pro and college) and Basketball (pro) only. To do this, you must pay an extra 10 cents per ½ point.

For NFL, there is no buying off 3 (from +3 to +3.5 or higher, or from -3 to -2.5 or lower) and there is no buying through three (from +2.5 to +3.5 or the reverse -3.5 to -2.5).

Example: NBA
Denver Nuggets are 10.5 point favourites. To move the line to -10 points (from -10.5), you would buy ½ point and pay extra 10 cents (now you lay $120 to win $100, whereas at -10.5 points you would have laid standard odds of -104 to win $100).
Asian Handicap - Soccer

Asian Handicap is a bet type designed to even out the soccer game for betting purposes, and eliminate the draw.

The Handicap
The handicap is given in an attempt to make the two teams equal for betting purposes. The Handicap is given as head start to the underdog, so they have a virtual lead in the game. For example with 1/2 goal (0.5), 1 goal (1), etc.

For betting purposes, the winning team is decided on the final score, after 90 minutes (normal time) after taking the handicap into account.

There are two types of Asian Handicaps, namely, Single Handicaps and Split (Double or Quarter) Handicaps.

Negative Handicaps (Given to the Favorite)
A negative or minus handicap is given to the team considered more likely to win (the favorite). The favorite has to overcome the indicated handicap and will have it taken away from its final score. The handicap for the favourite is preceded by a minus (-) sign.

Positive Handicaps (Given to the Underdog)
A positive or plus handicap is given to the team considered less likely to win (the underdog). The underdog is given a head start, and will have the handicap added to its final score. The handicap for the underdog is preceded by a plus (+) sign.

Example 1: 0.5 ball handicap
In this example, the underdogs will start the game with a score of +0.5. In effect, this means that there can’t be a draw result when the handicap is included. The favorite will have to win by at least 1 goal to win the bet, while bets on the underdog will win with any other result.

Example 2: 0 ball handicap
IIf the two teams are evenly matched, a 0 ball handicap will be offered. In this case you can bet on either team to win the match. If the match ends in a draw all bets are refunded.

Example 3: 1 ball handicap
In this example, the favourite will start the game with a score of -1. This means that the favourite must win by 2 or more goals to win the bet. The bet will be refunded if the favourite only beat the underdogs by 1 goal. Conversely, the underdog will win the bet if only they win or draw the match, while the bets will be refunded if the favourite only beat the underdogs by 1 goal.

Note: You must either deduct the handicap from the favorite or add it to the underdogs’ final score – not both.

Split Handicaps
Split handicaps are two handicaps rolled into one. The best way to understand this type of handicap is to imagine that the player has had two separate bets, with the stake being split equally between the two handicaps. This can result in the following scenarios:
  • Full Win: both bets win
  • Half Win: One bet wins and the other bet draws (stake returned)
  • Half Lose: One bet draws (stake returned) and the other bet loses
  • Full Loss: Both bets lose
Live Betting (‘In-Play’ or ‘Running Ball’)
The only difference between Live Betting and pre-game betting is that there may have already been goals scored in the match. At the point that a player places a bet, the current score in the match will also be recorded. For the purposes of the bet, any goals already scored are treated as being irrelevant and only scores placed after the bet count for the outcome of the wager. i.e. players are betting on the remainder of the match only.

Note: In Under and Over Live betting, players are betting on the total number of goals scored in the match during normal time. This means that any previous goals scored in the match are included the outcome of the wager.
Multiples

Multiple bet types allow you to select a series of two, three or more single bets from sports and/or racing and combine them to increase your return. The final dividend is determined by multiplying together the odds of each of your selections. There are two variations of multiple betting, Single and Exotic, see examples below

Single Multiple (Parlay, Accumulator or All Up)
In a single multiple, all of the selected competitors must win.

Example:
You bet $10, taking the following three selections:
  • Horse Racing: Yeats to win at 2.20
  • Soccer: England Correct Score 2-0 at 4.00
  • Golf: Phil Mickelson to win at 10.00
Calculating the dividend:
  • To calculate the final dividend the odds of each of the selections must be multiplied: 2.20 x 4.00 x 10.00 = 88.00
Win return:
  • The return is calculated by multiplying the amount bet (stake) by the calculated dividend: $10 x 88.00 = $880. As such, the profit is $870 (return less stake).
Exotic Multiples

Hit the Jackpot, Exotic Multiple betting guarantees a Jackpot Return if you strike gold with 100% winners, but also gives you the security of a payout if just two of your selections win.

The following Exotic Multiple bet types are offered: Trixi, Patent, Yankee, Lucky 15, Super Yankee, Lucky 31, Heinz, Lucky 63, Super Heinz and Goliath.

The Patent: an example of an Exotic Multiple

The Patent is the perfect bet if you have 3 selections. It consists of 7 bet combinations:
  • A Single bet on each of the three selections = 3 bets
  • A bet on each of the 3 possible Single multiples = 3 bets
  • Single Multiple combining all three of your selections = 1 bet
Example:
A $5 Patent on the 3 selections below would cost $35.00, at least 1 selection must win to earn a return:
  • Rugby Union: Australia to win World Cup at 4.00
  • Horse Racing: Yeats to win at 4.00
  • Golf: Phil Mickelson to win at 4.00
Calculating the dividend:
  • 3 x singles @ $5 =$15 (3 x $5 bet at odds of 4.00 – max return: $60)
  • 3 x single multiples @ $5 =$15 (3 x $5 bet at odds of 16.00 – max return: $240)
  • 1 x single multiple combination @ $5 =$5 (1 x $5 bet at odds of 64.00 – max return: $320)
Win return:
  • Any one winner returns: $20 (1 single)
  • Any two winners return: $120 (1 single multiple, 2 singles)
  • All three winners return: $620 (3 singles, 3 single multiples, 1 multi combination)
As such, the profit is $585 (return less stake).
